My name is Desmond Thomas and I have been working with PhD researchers across many different disciplinary areas for the last fifteen years. I am interested in all of the techniques used by successful writers to communicate their ideas to a wider audience. High quality research writing deserves to be publicized but, unfortunately, none of us are born with the ability to write. We need to develop our skills and learn all the ‘tricks of the trade’. We will need them not just for the completion of a PhD but throughout an academic career. I hope that this website will provide some suitable support.
